Design Picks #010: Functional can still look pretty
This week I'm begging Ranjith for an interview and stealing data visualisations from Geex Arts.
Handhelders,
I’m coming to you with the best mobile design work out there this week to help you with your current project. Let me know what you steal.
If you haven’t already, check out the Resources tab where we’ll be dropping Figma files, code, prototypes and everything in between to help you design and ship faster.
The Updates
Sales management dashboard by Nick Baked
The guru Nick shows us in the best way possible, how functional design solves real problems. Baked, roasted, cooked and served up on a great Monday.
Expense split overview by Studio Sphere
Always a fan of focused apps that solve one problem and this is no exception. The glow on the active navbar state is a delightful touch worth stealing.
Orange task scheduler by Adam Kovacs-Pataki
Love this from Adam — recently updated with liquid glass for iOS 26. Thanks for showing Apple how it should be used.
Digital passbook showcase by Marco Cornacchia
Don’t need any words. Just download Turf Sports and basque in the great design choices Marco consistently puts on your mobile screen.
Daily step tracker by Ranjith
Another one from my favourite mobile app designer — up for an interview someday, Ranjith? This screen is gorgeous, top to bottom.
Health tracking dashboard by Slava Kornilov
Wouldn’t be a proper mobile design update without the GOAT — Slava and Geex Arts in the mix. These data visualisations feel straight out of the future.
Digital creator economy by Kree8
Real men wear pink or whatever the saying is, and I’m sure those same men use this app too. The full‑screen colour block is a great touch. Pink might be back in thanks to Kree8.
That’s a wrap!
