Design Picks #002
A whole lot of crypto, a heavy recovery run and crazy illustrations.
Hey Handhelders,
Glad to see you all here back for our second issue on the Handheld Design newsletter - the place where you’ll find a curated collection of the finest mobile design inspiration!
Let’s get straight into it!
This week’s Super 7…
Crypto wallet by Shiryoku
The SORT 0-1 project evolution has been a pleasure to follow from Shiryoku and they didn’t disappoint with bringing that same magic to mobile. The utilisation of components only truly necessary for the task at hand makes for a sleek design.
Applications screen by Osho Lion
The card composition caught our eye instantly. Text padding in corners of rounded shapes can be a troublesome problem to get right but here they have been executed perfectly. Great work, Osho!
Jupiter swap by Michael Cecetka
It’s so refreshing to see bold background colours in mobile apps amid a war between light and dark mode. We will gladly sign a petition to bring back bold colour backgrounds in mobile with Michael leading the way!
Meeet. app by Alzea Arafat
One word — fun. This screen is such a delight; from the illustrations, colour palette and layout. Alzea committed to the amusement factor for the user which we deeply thank them for. Amazing work!
Workout complete by Cam
That badge! Running is not our exercise choice but if we were to partake, we would definitely want to be greeted with this screen at completion. Such a well-crafted screen - excellent work, Cam!
UPS delivery by Pierluigi Fittipaldi
Simplicity always wins and the designer that understands this the most is Pierluigi. Their work is the epitome of intentionality in the design field and this design is no exception. Incredibly executed!
Crypto home by Studio Bakers
That purple! Adding a ticker to the top of a card is so unique yet intuitive, that we bet a few readers are jealous for not thinking of it sooner. We appreciate a well-executed card over here at Handheld.
That’s a wrap!
Thank you for following the Handheld journey with us and reading this article. We are working tirelessly to get more mobile design inspiration out to you weekly — so see you next week!
